TAYLA T.C. LEE, PHD, HSPP<\/h1>\n

\"\"Tayla T.C. Lee, PhD, HSPP (she\/her<\/a>) is an Associate Professor in the Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling Department<\/a> at\u00a0Ball State University<\/a>. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Kent State University<\/a> and completed postdoctoral training at Indiana University \u2013 Bloomington<\/a>. She spent ten years in Ball State’s Department of Psychological Science<\/a> before moving to her current department in Fall 2026. Dr. Lee’s research focuses primarily on psychological assessment processes and instruments, especially the validity of scales from the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory<\/a> family of instruments (i.e., MMPI-3 and MMPI-A-RF). Her second line of research examines dimensional models of psychopathology, with particular attention to cognitive and personality processes that contribute to externalizing difficulties. In addition to her empirical work, Dr. Lee has published a book on the MMPI family of instruments<\/a> with her colleagues. She serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Personality Assessment<\/em><\/a>, as a consulting editor for Assessment<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and the Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings<\/a><\/em>, and as Treasurer for the Society for Personality Assessment<\/a>. At Ball State, Dr. Lee teaches graduate courses in psychological assessment and psychopathology and regularly provides professional workshops in these same areas. She is a licensed psychologist in Indiana with extensive experience in the psychological assessment of adolescents and adults. Outside of academia, Dr. Lee enjoys exploring the world with her family, doing home improvement projects, taking photographs, and reading.<\/p>\n

Doctoral Mentoring <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Dr. Lee will be accepting new doctoral students in Ball State’s PhD in Counseling Psychology<\/a> program for Fall 2027. For the 2026 class of PhD students, she will serve as a doctoral committee chair, cognate representative, or floor representative.<\/p>\n
