This involves developing strategies and synthetic methods for preparing heterostructured metal oxide photocatalysts with engineered band gap heterojunctions for sunlight-activated degradation of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). Furthermore, we innovate photoreactive membrane composites that are functionalized with metal oxide nanomaterials for the sustainable remediation of Chlorinated Volatile Organic Contaminants (Cl-VOCs).
