Artwork created by Victoria Carter

“Creating this piece was important to me because it allowed me to give from to the emotions I felt while learning about the human cost of WWII, especially the stories that were forgotten. The idea of being silenced or manipulated as a child or an artist hit me deeply.

Working on this piece made the history feel real and personal. It made me think about how easily control and propaganda can erase individual expression. it’s not just about the past; it’s a reminder to stay aware of how power can be used to manipulate and erase. “
