April 18, 2024: DNA Day – Exploring DNA Profiling (DNA Fingerprinting).
Students from the Indiana Academy of Math, Science, and Humanities actively engaged in a hands-on DNA profiling experiment. They applied molecular biology techniques to analyze genetic material, gaining practical experience in forensic and biomedical research methodologies.

As a part UNITED program https://sites.bsu.edu/civics/united/, our laboratory had the pleasure of hosting students from Uzbekistan (PI’s home country) on June 30th, 2023. The program aimed to foster cultural exchange and educational opportunities for the visiting students.

On the DNA Day (04/11/2023), we have conducted a number of studies on the analysis of DNA profiling (a.k.a DNA fingerprinting) technique.
