McKinzie Thurman (she/her) is a senior at Ball State University majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. This is McKinzie’s first year in the lab and she is very excited to learn more skills in these areas of research by working on projects at Muncie’s Youth Opportunity Center. In the future McKinzie plans to pursue a Ph.D in clinical psychology, with a focus on incarcerated adolescents and the Black community.
Outside of the lab McKinzie is very active on campus, holding three mentoring positions and being a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity. She enjoys shopping, singing, reading, and gaming.
