Ana Julia Mourão (she/her) is an international student from Brazil pursuing her master’s degrees in Psychological Science and Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ball State University. During her first two years in the program, she served as the lab manager for Dr. Diaz’s PACE Lab and as a graduate assistant in the Communication and Experimental Pragmatics Lab with Dr. Holtgraves.

Currently, Ana Julia works as a graduate assistant with International Student Success, where she promotes cultural programming and helps foster a supportive community among students from diverse backgrounds. This is her first semester in the P2 Lab, where she contributes to data collection and supervises undergraduate research assistants. Her research experience spans topics such as dysfunctional sleep beliefs, microaggressions, and parenting practices.

She hopes to continue developing her research skills and deepen her understanding of cultural influences on psychological assessment. In her free time, Ana Julia enjoys spending time with friends, exploring local coffee shops, and engaging in outdoor activities.
